Egremont Rugby Union Football Club was established in 1878. We are now an established “ not for profit” community sports club. Through sport and community inclusion we have become a key focal point of the Egremont and Cumberland Council community.

Following the catastrophic floods of 2009 ,we have rebuilt the club facilities, and have just recently refurbished throughout, creating an all inclusive ,inviting & friendly atmosphere, particularly to our female members.

We currently run a senior men’s team in the RFU Northern Division, Counties 1 Cumbria League. and several youth age group teams from U8 -Under 18’s ( both boys and girls) .

Throughout the clubs history ,young men and women have gained representative honours both at County and International level ,which for a small community club like ours is a major achievement.
